Welcome to the Choral Music page!
This site, a one page resource, serves two purposes: (1) to inform the general public about choral music performances and groups at FCCJ, and (2) to inform potential students about choral music course offerings and instruction:
The Chorale - Mixed Chorus, membership by audition only
Women's Chamber Choir - Membership by permission of the director
Men's Chamber Choir - Membership by permission of the director
Class Voice - Anyone can sign up
Private Vocal Instruction - For music majors only

Memorable Choral Performances |
The Chorale has risen to national prominence during the last nine years. Memorable performance include:
- Will perform the “National Anthem” for the Jacksonville Jaguars/ Minnesota Vikings - 2008
- Will perform the “National Anthem” for this year’s running of “The Race for the Cure – 2008
- Performed “God Bless America” for Jacksonville Jaguars – 2007
- Performed the National Anthem for the “Race for the Cure” – 2005, 2006, 2007
- Performed in the Andy Williams Christmas Show – 2005
- Performed at a town meeting for President George W. Bush – 2005
- One of only two community college choirs in the nation to be invited to perform at the National Convention of the American Choral Directors Association in Los Angeles, California - 2005
- Only community college choir to be invited to sing at the Southern Division American Choral Directors Association Convention in Nashville, Tennessee – 2004
- Performed in a Southeastern regional Krystal commercial - 2003
- Performed the National Anthem for Jacksonville Jaguars - 2002
- Only community college choir to be invited to sing at the American Choral Directors Association State Convention - 2001
- Performed Beethoven’s “9th Symphony” with the Jacksonville Symphony and Chorus – 2000

Arts at FCCJ |
Florida Community College, with dozens of courses in the fine arts, performing, and theatrical programs, has one of the most comprehensive community college arts programs in the country. Our associate in arts degree allows students to specialize in many forms, in preparation for university and college transfer:
- Choral Music
- Dance
- Jazz Band
- Symphonic Band
- Theatre Performance
- Visual Arts
Students study and perform in the magnificent surroundings of the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts at the South Campus of Florida Community College at Jacksonville. With incredible performance and studio spaces, the Wilson Center has no equal in northeast Florida for the career-minded students of the arts.
FCCJ also offers a unique degree program in the technical theatre, which will prepare students for a career in many aspects of stagecraft, including lighting, set and costume design, and stage management.
To help defray all or part of their tuition expenses, Florida Community College offers incoming students a large assortment of talent grant opportunities.
